In 2012 Maria Cerro founded a project called ArtAware as a platform for artists and the creative minded across all disciplines to uncover a deeper understanding of self through combining spirituality and art. Using her own experience in Zen practice and meditation, Maria applied these principles to all aspects of making and sharing art through workshops, interactive installations and meditative art events.
